When and how did you start riding?
I started riding in 2007, it was the year I got my Malibu Boat.

What’s a typical week like for you as far as training?
I’ll wake up at 6:00am everyday, go out riding come back eat and take a nap. If the water’s nice I’ll go out again at noon if not then I’ll wait till the evening sessions and ride until dark.

What has been the best moment in your wakeboard career?
One of the best moments for me was when I won Wakestock in 2010. It was one of my biggest accomplished to be in the open category and win it.

How do you deal with the pressure at competition when you’re riding at bigger events?
I talk to people and hang out with people so that I don’t get nervous. I just go out and talk to people then go over my ride with Trevor Hansen who is my coach down south.

How has your experience been riding the PWT stops this year?
The experience has been pretty good. It has been really motivating. I am really pushing myself to be better than those guys. It’s really motivating to see how good the level is down there compared to the level up here. So it really motivates me.

What’s your favourite pump up song?
The remix of “The Pursuit of Happiness” by Kid Cudi

If you could be a professional athlete in any other sport what would it be?
Snowboarding for sure.

Tell us something not many people know about you
I’m afraid of the dark. Everyone didn’t believe me but I’m actually legitimately afraid of the dark.

Do you want to thank anyone?
I would like to thank my mom and dad and everyone who pushed me throughout the sport. And my sponsors Ripcurl, Ronix, Dragon, Malibu Sports and The Muskoka Store.
