Rip Curl’s The Judgement Athlete Bio: Brenden Leib

What has been the best moment in your riding career?
Finishing 3rd at the Canadian Nationals last year. I surprised myself with how well I did at such a great event. It was the first nationals I’ve been to, I met a bunch of new riders and it was a great time.
What are your goals for this year’s (2012) Canadian Wake Championship?
Try to make the finals in the Open Men’s.
How do you deal with the pressure at competition when you’re riding at bigger events?
I try not to think about it. I’m more of a free rider so I don’t really think about what I’m going to do I just go out and ride.
What’s a typical week like for you as far as training?
Usually I’m up at 6:30am and out riding and then take an evening set. I try to take 2 sets every day.
What’s your favorite wake movie?
Lipsmack. It really pushed the envelope on wake riding.
What’s your favourite pump up song?
Burn by Rick Ross
If you could be a professional athlete in any other sport what would it be?
Tell us something not many people know about you.
I’m kind of a computer nerd. If I’m not riding I’m making websites and people can come to me with their computer questions.
Do you want to thank anyone?
I would like to thank my family for introducing me to the sport, my brother for filming me a lot especially for this contest and pretty much everyone who drives the boat for me.
